We are proud to announce that we have selected an organization for our next fundraising event to be held at Lebanon Reservoir Campground in Hamilton, New York on Saturday, August 6, 2016. Our charity will be Homes for Our Troops Inc. We have selected Army SPC (Ret) Edward Guldin as our veteran. We will be sending 100% of the proceeds raised for his home to be built in Adams, New York.
On June 12, 2011, SPC Guldin was on his first deployment in Afghanistan. On the first day of a three-day foot patrol, SPC was climbing over a wall in an area that had already been previously cleared when his foot triggered an improvised explosive device (IED). The force of the explosion caused SPC Guldin to lose both of his legs (above the knees) and severe damage to his right hand and his arm.
Transported by helicopter to Bagram Air Base, SPC Guldin was stabilized in-country and airlifted to Landstuhl, Germany. He then arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where he remained for nine months, receiving treatments and therapies. SPC Guldin was transferred to Fort Drum as part of the Warriors in Transition Unit; he is now medically retired from the Army and looking forward to the construction of his new specially adapted home in Adams, New York. Here he will have the support of his wife Amanda and family while he is still recovering.

We are writing to express our deepest thanks for all who came out to the event to show support for us and our community. Without all of you, we would not have been successful. A special thank you to all who donated items for our raffles. Also a big shout out to Seven O's, who graciously donated a StarCraft Ar-One 14rb camper for us to raffle off. Your generous donations for our charity were greatly appreciated.
Our event was held on Saturday, August 1st at Lebanon Reservoir Campground at 6277 Reservoir Rd Hamilton, NY 13346. We had a wonderful turnout of classic cars. We also held a 50/50 raffle, and donations from our community that were raffled off for Madison County Children’s Camp in Eaton, NY. It is with great pleasure that we were able to raise over $14,500 dollars for this wonderful organization.
On behalf of the Lizard Charity Car Show, we would like to thank you again for helping us make this annual event be our most successful to date.

A heart felt thank you to the community for your wonderful support for the local children’s hospital. We had another wonderful turnout for our car show and for all the donations. As always, we would not be this successful without all of you. In four hours we were able to raise $1500.00. Can’t wait to for next year’s event.
Our charity that we selected for next year is the Madison County Children’s Camp – Camp Lookout. Let’s get out there and raise some money for this wonderful organization. See you August 1, 2015

This was the second annual car show and our first time to raise money f or a charity. Over all we are proud of ourselves. We managed to get more that last year’s total of seven cars. We also managed to raise $1800.00 in four hours with the generous donations from local businesses for our raffles. This is just what we needed to prove to ourselves that it is possible to make a difference. Lookout here we come, we are ready to make this bigger and better next year.
We have selected Golisano Children’s Hospital at Upstate Medical Center. We are looking forward to helping out children who are in need of medical attention. Lets make next year’s event just as successful at this year. Thank you again for everyone who came out to support our cause.
